I think most people think of acupuncture as a model of treatment that is most useful in treating myofascial or muscle dysharmony.  While this, of course, can be the case, what many folks may not know is that acupuncture is built upon a complete framework and historically validated model of medicine that can treat most forms of dysfunction; physical, emotional, and spiritually related.  Emergency medicine is generally best suited for our local hospitals and urgent care clinics, but non-emergency affairs can often be treated with Holistic therapies.

A caveat to the above is an understanding that this medicine was developed in a culture where discussions on personal accountability are not usually considered to insult, and consistency in effort is expected, rather than optional.  That being said; "a little can go a long way" when it comes to lifestyle consideration and/or modification.

As one of my mentors is fond of saying: "if you weren't born with your pattern, what has been acquired can be unacquired".  A saying that absolutely speaks truth in my heart.
